Uganda Gorilla Tracking and Chimpanzee experience

Kibale National park is located in the rainforest and it is inhibited by hundreds of chimpanzees and other several mammal species. Chimpanzees are very social animals and they live in groups each led by a dominant male. The chimp families are composed of females and the young ones.
Other mammals include: Red tailed monkeys, Black and white Columbus monkeys, pottos, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabey, bush babies, etc. The park is also blessed with variety of bird species such as little greenbul, the crowned eagle, rumped tinker bird, green breasted pitta and several others.

On this trip you will enjoy the beautiful landscape in south-western and western Uganda, Gorillas, Chimps, red-tailed monkeys, L'Hoest, baboons, and other primate species. Bwindi is also blessed with a variety of butterfly(320 species) and bird species(over 350 species). All of this will be enjoyed in the two national parks, Bwindi impenetrable national park and Kibale National park. Itenerary for the tour

Day one: Briefing and journey to Kibale

We will pick you up from point of your convenience(hotel). Departure will be 7:00 am. The tour will begin taking the masaka mbarara road. You will have a stop at the Equator for a few minutes and then continue your journey to the Kibale national Park located in western uganda (kibale district). We will drive through Tea plantations, rolling hills in fort-portal and then proceed north to kibale National park going through tropical rain forests. On arrival we check in and rest.

Day two: chimpanzees and other primates experience

Primates to be seen are; Chimpanzees, Red tailed monkeys, Black and white Columbus monkeys, pottos, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabey, bush babies and others. After spending time with the mammals, we then proceed to Bigodi Wetland sanctuary. Among the sites include; bush pigs, blue monkeys, baboons, mongoose, otters, bush bucks, and among others.

Day three: Trip to Bwindi through queen elizabeth national park

Early mornig, we have breakfast and then checkout. We start on the journey south passing through queen elizabeth national park and having a look at different wildlife.

Day four: The Gorilla tracking and other primates Trek

Wake up in the morning, have breakfast and then get briefing from the guide before starting on the gorilla trek. After freshening up, the trek for Gorillas and other primates begins. The trek will see you go through bamboo and tropical rain forests. Upon getting confirmation from the Gorilla Tracker about the where about of the primates, there will be resting for a short time before having a moment with the gorillas. Only one hour is allowed and you can take pictures, then embark on the trek back to the camp.

Day five: Trip back to kampala

Have breakfast, checkout and the start on the journey back to kampala
