Rwanda Gorilla and Cultural Tour - 9 days

On this tour you will have an exclusive all round trip of Rwanda. The tour will begin in Omwami’s Palace in Nyanza and thereafter to the Hot springs of Rugarama close to Nyungwe forest. You will also visit the Batwa pygmies in Ruhengeri. The highlight of the trip will be the gorilla Trek in Parc Nationale des Volcanoes, The tour will end in Gisenyi to see the Genocide memorial.


Day 1: Arrival

Day 2: Trip to Nyungwe

In the morning after having breakfast, we move to Nyungwe Forest to see a Palace of a former King. This is one the traditional places in Rwanda.

Day 3: Butare Cultural Museum

On this day you will have a trip to Cultural museum in Butare and also botanical Gardens, thereafter to see hot springs in Bugarama.

Day 4: Tour of lake Kivu

You will have your breakfast and then start on trip in Nyungwe in search of primates including Golden monkeys, Colobus and Chimpanzees and thereafter move to lake kivu.

Day 5: Batwa in Ruhengeri.

Day 6: Journey to Parc Nationale des Volcanoes

Our driver will pick you and then embark on the journey to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival we check in and then enjoy the rest of the day learning more about the gorillas and enjoying the beautiful scenery around.

Day 7: Gorilla Trek in Parc des Volcanoes

Breakfast is served and then after a short briefing, we then start on the trek looking for gorillas in the park with an experienced guide. On the trek to meet the gorillas, you can have a look at some other wildlife including elephants, buffaloes, golden and other monkeys, several bird species and others until the trek ends with the overwhelming sight of the infamous mountain Gorillas. You will have an hour with a gorilla family and experience their ways of life surprisingly not so different from humans.

Day 8: Gisozi Genocide Memorial

After having breakfast, we checkout the then travel back to Kigali, Rwanda. We will have a stop at Gisozi Genocide Memorial Museum.

Day 9: Back to the Airport


  • Carry a camera, however flash light is not allowed.
  • You can carry a packed lunch with water.
  • Carry some rain coat, insect repellent and sunscreen lotion.
  • Put on hiking shoes for the slopes can be muddy sometimes.
