Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park has been designated a Biosphere Reserve for humanity recognized by UNESCO. The park together with Kyambura and Kigezi Wildlife reserve form one of the most diverse ecosystems in Africa . It is situated in the western arm of the Great Rift Valley and covers 1,978sq.km from semi-deciduous tropical forest to green meadows savannah and swamps.

Hiking on mt Elgon

Mountain Elgon is not a difficult mountain to climb. Aspirant hikers need to be reasonably fit, but no specialized equipment or skills are needed to reach the peaks, and the mountain is not so high that there's a serious risk of the altitude-related illnesses that regularly afflict hikers on the upper slopes of the mounts Kilimanjaro, kenya or rwenzori.

Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park harbours the greatest variety and concentration of primates found anywhere in East Africa. It is an extensive National Park, protecting a large block of rainforest that offers some excellent forest for bird watching.

Kidepo Valley National park

Kidepo Valley National Park lies in the rugged, semi arid valleys between Uganda’s borders with Sudan and Kenya, some 700km from Kampala. Gazetted as a national park in 1962, it has a profusion of big game and hosts over 77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species.

Mountain Rwenzori

Rwenzori is the third highest mountain range in Africa. It's highest peaks , Margherita (5,109m) and Alexandra (5083m) on Mount Stanley, are exceeded in altitude elsewhere in Africa only by Kilimanjaro and Mt. kenya, both of which are extinct volcanoes standing in isolation above the surrounding plains.

Birding in uganda

Given the fact that Uganda is located in the equatorial region, it is a country of extra ordinarily startling contrasts. Non of the African country can match its astonishing variance of habitats ranging from rich Savannah, vast wetlands, arid semi-deserts, montane rain-forests, lowland, volcanoes and an afro-alpine zone which all cover an altitude of 650 to 5000m.

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison falls National Park is located in Masindi district sorrouding the northern section of the Nile river. The Park derives it name from the Murchison falls along river Nile whose water forces its self through a narrow section and flows down stream. It's banks are flooded with Hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes.
The Vegetation is characterized by savannah, Riverine forest and woodland. Wildlife includes; lions, leopards, chimpanzee, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda Kob, Chimpanzees and many bird species including the rare shoebill stock.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Mgahinga

The park is located in the South Western Uganda on the edge of the western rift valley. Bwindi is home to over 350 endangered Mountain Gorillas which are quite possibly the most amazing animals to be found in Africa .There are also 346 species of birds and over 200 species of butterflies. Gorilla trekking is the major tourist activity in Bwindi with four groups currently available daily for tourists .
