The Uganda Chimpanzee Tracking and other primates experience
Kibale National park is located in the rain forest and it is inhibited by hundreds of chimpanzees and other several mammal species. Chimpanzees are very social animals and they live in groups each led by a dominant male. The chimp families are composed of females and the young ones.
Other mammals include: Red tailed monkeys, Black and white Columbus monkeys, pottos, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabey, bush babies, etc. The park is also blessed with variety of bird species such as little greenbul, the crowned eagle, rumped tinker bird, green breasted pitta and several others.
Day one: Briefing and journey to Kibale
We will pick you up from point of your convenience(hotel). Departure will be 7:00 am. The tour will begin taking the masaka mbarara road. You will have a stop at the Equator for a few minutes and then continue your journey to the Kibale national Park located in western uganda (kibale district). We will drive through Tea plantations, rolling hills in fort-portal and then proceed north to kibale National park going through tropical rain forests. On arrival we check in and rest.
Day two: chimpanzees and other primates experience
Primates to be seen are; Chimpanzees, Red tailed monkeys, Black and white Columbus monkeys, pottos, L’Hoest Monkeys, Grey cheecked Mangabey, bush babies and others. After spending time with the mammals, we then proceed to Bigodi Wetland sanctuary. Among the sites include; bush pigs, blue monkeys, baboons, mongoose, otters, bush bucks, and among others.
Trip back to Kampala
Early in the morning, we get to have breakfast and then prepare to travel back to Kampala going through Mubende, enjoying the beautiful landscape.
