Uganda Wildlife Safari in Murchison falls National Park
Murchison falls National Park is located in Masindi district sorrouding the northern section of the Nile river. The Park derives it name from the Murchison falls along river Nile whose water forces its self through a narrow section and flows down stream. It's banks are flooded with Hippos, crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes.
The Vegetation is characterized by savannah, Riverine forest and woodland. Wildlife includes; lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hyenas, buffaloes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda Kob, Chimpanzees and many bird species including the rare shoebill stock.
Itenerary for the 3 day Tour
Day one: Briefing and start on the safari to the park
We meet and greet and then start on the journey to the park. We travel north through Luweero triangle and then get a chance to see Rhinos at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary( 40$ per person enter the sanctuary). We continue on our journey, have lunch and then proceed to the park. We will have a look at the beautiful falls standing on top of the Nile while looking down at these magnificent forces of nature. After enjoying the spectacle, we then Check in and rest.
Day two: Game drive and Boat cruise at the Nile
We have breakfast and then start on the tour of the park. We drive through the park looking for buffaloes, giraffes, lions, leopards, primates, elephants several bird species and other wildlife. We break off for lunch and then go for an evening boat ride along the Nile river. Here you get a chance to look at the falls on a close range. This spectacle will leave you breathless, besides looking at the falls and listening to the roar of the water, you also enjoy the variety of animals along the river banks. These include Hippos, antelopes, crocodiles, buffaloes, birds and other animals as they are having a drink from the river.
Day Three: Trip back to kampala
Early in the morning, we have breakfast and then start on the journey to kampala
